Motion Raceworks Bolt-On SFI Quick Release Hub 5/6 Bolt Pattern 15-270

*Please verify fitment of adapter with your application before ordering. Our sales staff is happy to review fitment/compatibility (800) 878-9274

Note: This is designed to be used with a Grant style 3 bolt bolt on column adapter such as the Grant 3196 (GM) or the Grant 3289 (Ford), these can be added in the options below.

These were designed to be used with a Grant column adapter in order to replicate the factory wheel length and offset when using with a flat style race wheel.

Motion Raceworks SFI rated 42.1 quick release is the result of multiple years of development and brain storming. Steering components are your direct link to your machine, and as such they should accommodate your needs and make things easy.

We don't think you should have to choose between 5 or 6 bolt style steering wheels when buying a quick release. Our quick release hub has both bolt patterns built in which means choosing a steering wheel is based solely on your preference, not the bolt pattern you have available.

Features:

  • Unique, easy to use interlocking coupling piece
  • SFI certified
  • Built in 5 and 6 bolt steering wheel pattern

Included:

  • SFI 42.1 Certified Quick Release Hub
  • Bolt on Shaft
  • Hardware
  • Motion Horn Delete Button

The installation was pretty straightforward, once I located the correct installation kit. It does locate the steering wheel a bit closer to the driver. That may help my reaction times being “up on the wheel “. 😉 I really love the ease of removing and replacing the wheel now. The “old” one was very hard to put back on.

The fit and finish is incredible and it’s my first steering wheel and hub like this and the machine work is beautiful and it’s cool it’s a piece I can see and appreciate every day the only thing I had to modify was from the grant kit and it was the steel dish trim piece that meets up to the column I trimmed that flat 1/4” ring off then it fit perfectly

I was told this would fit perfectly on a 1970 mopar steering shaft. I doe’s not. There’s no way this will bolt on. Why doesn’t it have a splinted center so you can put it on the shaft then bolt it like the original piece? Also, why are the SFI and brand stickers on the wrong side. I thought you were supposed to pull the release ring with your finger tips, not push on the release ring. If I were to mount it correctly, “pull the ring to release”, the brand name and SFI stickers would not be visible. I will need to do some serious modifications or design a custom adapter plate to make this work. Why is this $160.00?!!! There’s maybe $20.00 in steel here?! I have a $160.00 paper weight.
