Motion Raceworks is committed to improving performance and quality of builds. Every year we see dozens of instances of lost races or frustrated racers who have had wastegates merges crack off at the weld joint.
Wastegates are heavy especially depending on size and piping design. Inherently in fabricating a merge you are shaping metal, grinding, deburring and then welding a corner joint on only one side. This creates a weak point prone to cracking and / or breaking especially with extreme heat cycles.
Motion's new High Flow Wastegate merge combats all of these common issues with a cast "doubler" or high strength merge. Its unique saddle design is intended to be strong and versatile allowing you to position the merge anywhere on the outside radius of the 90° bend of a 2.5" OD piece of tubing. From there you can mark out the inner dimension, cut, and weld the flange on.
Features:
Cast 316 Weldable Stainless Steel (compatible with 304 stainless)
Saddle design extends past weld joint to allow for a strong and robust lap joint
Cast in the USA from USA materials
Flange Location OD: 2.00" ID: 1.750"
Designed for use with 2.5" OD Tubing with 4.0" CLR
Fits on every portion of the radius of a 2.5" 90° bend
Merge/Opening internally is over double the size of a typical internal pipe joint for higher priority flow to the wastegate
Wastegate flange side allows use of any brand wastegate by welding your flange of choice on.
***Note: This piece in and of itself does not create a perfect weld joint or connection. While it is stronger and creates a better opportunity for weld, care and understanding for proper welding technique and fabrication must still be taken to prevent cracking and breakages.***

My fab guy really praised this piece. Very fast shipping and it works perfectly. Well worth the price. Also the stickers are nice and the logo fits perfect for every rear window.
These fit great.
Cuts a lot of time out of fabricating and offers a great finished product. How much is your time worth?
You’ll need loose radius pipes for these.
I used stainless bros 2.5” 90* loose radius.
Needed a waste gate inlet but didn’t have anywhere to put it but on my tight radius cast stainless turbo mount. Had to grind to fit and do some extra filling with tig rod but I feel better about this heavy cast merge than a plain tubing merge welded on. I didn’t weld it pretty but it will hold 👍
I am NOT a fabricator, and this made putting the wastegate in this bend super easy. The VS Racing 50 mm wastegate flange is a perfect fit. It’s a little pricey, but for the time saved it was worth it. Welded it on with 309L filler and the metal welds extremely well. Great product.
I Was was hesitant on buying these as my car is a budget build and I have done a few turbo kits with wastegates using stainless tubing. These merges saved a ton of Time, the fit up was very easy and they welded great. I do not know that I will ever build another turbo kit without them.
My favorite thing about these is the opening that they created for the wastegates, ALL the flow.. should have zero issues with controlling the boost with this setup.
Love this little merge adapter! I actually used it on a 2” sch10 pipe for my turbo manifold. The outside diameter of 2” sch 10 pipe was close enough to the dimensions of 2.5” pipe that it actually fit nicely!
