The MW stud installation tool utilizes a threaded collet to clamp on the threads of the stud to properly install and tighten drive studs in the axle flanges and to hold studs while installing and torqueing jam nuts. This type of collet system eliminates possible damage to either the threads or shoulder of the stud.
