Motion Raceworks LS DIY Steam Vent Coolant Crossover Kit 10-10007
While our Stainless Steam Kit and V2 Flex Line Kit are extremely popular, there are many intakes that need options that we have not made a purpose built kit for.
Properly venting steam from the corner of your cylinder heads is an important part of creating a safe, balanced, and durable tune-up for your modified LS engine. Customers have reported less to no head gasket issues, better cooling (removed air pockets), easier air bleeding with initial coolant fill, and safer tunes when using a 4 corner steam kit properly.
Unlike some of the budget kits on the market, this kit is designed PROPERLY. Simply connecting all 4 corners in a series with ups and downs creates opportunity and voids for air pockets and does little to no good. Venting steam vertically to a high point and then sending that back to the radiator just below the pressure relief style cap on the radiator is the ideal and only correct way to remove steam from a system. The radiator cap will then relieve pressure as intended by its poundage rating and normal function.
Add in the optional radiator line kit with weld bung to run your steam vent from the main distribution block to the radiator which includes (4 ft.) 4AN black braided line, (2) straight fittings, (2) 4AN straight hose ends, radiator weld bung.
This kit uses all Made in the USA components including Motion Billet manifold pieces, as well as Fragola lines and fittings.

Customer service and shipping was amazing. Product was well packaged and sealed. The only reason I am giving them 4 stars is because if the line was a little longer the kit would match better. I understand that Motion Raceworks does not make a coolant crossover kit for the Kong lid. I had to make my own bracket which didn’t take long to make and was very inexpensive too. Yes I know the nutserts are in there backwards that was done intentionally to space out the distribution block. I believe that if Motion Raceworks added this bracket and a little extra line that this would work well for the Kong lid buyers and would still accomplish the “clean” look everyone goes for. To conclude this review I would still purchase future parts from Motion Raceworks

This kit was exceptional to work with! Plenty of fitting options and hose included to run the hoses as neat and tidy as you’d like. Made a quick bracket to mount the manifold block and the rest worked like a charm with our 5.3 build!

First excuse my masking tape and unfinished wiring but I am right in the middle of finishing up the mechanical and electrical on my car. Anyways I purchased the do it yourself kit because my intake is not one you currently offer a hard line kit for. I really liked the looks of your hard line kits so I chose to run my own SST hard tubing instead of using the supplied hose. I had to purchase male npt x compression fittings to convert from the supplied head fittings and collection block from the kit. Overall the kit is really nice and seems to have quality components. Also as a bonus I noticed that when I mounted the collection block it turns your motion race works logo upside down which makes it look like a Waylon Jennings logo! So it looks cool as heck no matter which way you look at it 😜. I will probably fab a small bracket to support the collection block at some point. I also ordered you two port catch can and that thing is really nice!!! I am about to start tubing it up once I get a few fittings and a route worked out in my head. Great products and support, keep up the good work!!!

Great kit! Very versatile diy kit. Used on a GM truck build with a home made mounting bracket.
Kit worked out great for my application. It was quite difficult to find any kit that would would work with a blower, but this one worked like a charm. Gen 4 6.0 2013 Silverado with a Whipple 2.3. Too bad the blower hides it however, so I have no photos to share showing off the steam kit. But good product, works great and I had zero leaks.

AN hose fittings were next to impossible to assemble. Stripped out two just trying to put together. I am not a professional but I have assembled a good amount of AN fittings without issues in the past.

It's nice quality components that give me several options to route the steam from the rearward vents in my LS7 heads. I'm running the MSD intake, and it's a C6 Corvette, so there is very little clearance to accomplish the upgrade, but this kit looks like it will have everything needed to get the job done in a nice tidy, secure fashion. I'll know later this Winter how well it actually works when I open up the engine for annual seasonal upgrades.

I did not take any pictures. The rear lines fit well under my LS BMR intercooler manifold to feed to the steam manifold I put just under the front lip near the throttle body. It made for a very symmetrical installation. I think I had to buy a couple of more 90* fittings for it. Also the AN fittings for the small hose size is a pain so get some AN vice clamps to save your hands.
