Motion Raceworks 98-02 Camaro Dzus Hood Rails (Black Anodized) Full Set: Front Rails. Factory front bumper only. 30-120

Note: If factory supports are removed, these may not be effective enough to secure your hood. Please use proper care to make sure the lip this attaches to is secure enough to hold your hood on.

Motion Raceworks 98-02 Camaro Dzus Hood Front Set is designed to give you a bolt in option for fastening and securing lightweight single layer thickness hoods on front of your Camaro hood.

Available in anodized black rails, the body panel gaps are less noticeable with a black backer than bare aluminum, this also helps eliminate air coming through air gaps where it matters.

Unless creating a fabricated front mount we suggest installing only the entire set (front and sides) in order to properly secure your hood. Failure to install front dzus will result in the hood not being properly secured.

All components are CNC laser and formed from high strength 5052 aluminum, these rails are not only perfect fitting and reliable, they carry large strength.  

 

Front Rails: 

Replacing the factory bumper fasteners, these bolt down to create a secure front portion of your hood.

Parts Included:

  • (2) Black Anodized Hood Front Rails (Driver and Passenger Side)
  • (4) 7/16" Dzus Fasteners (.550 Length)
  • (4) Springs 
  • Rivets and Hardware

Choose fastener color and hood thickness (for proper spring package) in options above.

Note: Hoods do not have to be exact as you can adjust spring slightly larger or smaller to accommodate.

I have a VFN extended hood and these brackets do not come nowhere near close to reaching the bottom of my hood there’s over an inch gap. There’s just no way even if you’ve been to top of the bracket that it would come close. I even went as far as putting a quarter inch shim underneath and no luck. I went ahead and ordered racecrafts rails instead.

No matter what I did, the angle of the top part of the bracket where the springs rivets to does not come close to does not reaching my vfn hood. I had over an inch gap between the bracket and the hood. Not sure what hood this is for, but there’s no way that a thin, fiberglass hood or any lightweight hood will work with these. I had to order racecrafts dzus front rails.
