The Operator shifter was built for racers who want crisp, repeatable shifts without the sloppy feel and bulky appearance of traditional race shifters. Whether you’re bracket racing, street/strip driving, or building a high-end radial car or Promod, the Operator delivers precise engagement, compact packaging, and a clean interior finish. This one size fits all shifter adapts to your needs, and can be upgrade and built on as they change! Additionally our modular design allows you to add a variety of grips, co2 solenoid, button mounting solutions, and even cup holders to avoid fabrication and improve layout!
*Note: The 4L80E operator was designed to Air Shift between gears 1, 2, and 3 only. Overdrive/4th Gear will require you to pull the lever. This avoids the chance of shifting into overdrive under full throttle.

Very easy to install, you can tell thought was put into a lot of it. Little things like the port on the side to pop the pin out that holds the shifter cable. The grip is solid, only thing was that it takes a minute to get used to going from drive to reverse.

This shifter is NICE. The integrated reverse light switch was one of the selling points for me as I was going from a column shift to the floor shift and never really thought about how to trigger reverse lights. That part was already done for me. It shifts unbelievably smooth and doesn’t feel sloppy like other brands. The one and only “complaint” is the length of the cable. The cable is LOOONG. Had to route it ever which way to get it routed to trans. A 48” would have been sufficient in my case. Having a cable length option would be a great addition to this great shifter.

Thank you Motion for the assistance in buying this shifter. I had a different brand installed in the car and it would not work with a 4L80E transmission. I called Motion and ordered their shifter, within 2 days I had the new shifter. Installed the shifter and works flawlessly. The shifter looks great in the car. Thanks again not only for the shifter, but all the other parts you make and sell.

Great shifter and setup. My only conplaint is the cable bracket is thin where it meets the pan and wanted to eat through the pan while tightening. Id suggest a washer or spacer in the future to alleviate this. I just threw some regular washers under it and worked fine. Love the gate style, compact design, and future expandable features.
