Our Motion Raceworks Dzus Hood Rails make installing a non bolt on composite hood as easy as it gets on any 1978-88 G-Body Monte Carlo, Malibu, Grand Prix, Regal, Grand National, or Cutlass. Made from CNC laser cut and formed lightweight 5052 aluminum they are intended to rivet on to the inner fender flange on a stock or aftermarket fender. Standard with slotted holes separate of the rivet holes, this allows for easy adjustment up and down for precise fitment of your hood height. Then simply rivet all of the remaining rivet points down to the fender.
Please specify hood thickness in the drop downs prior to ordering to receive the correct dzus fastener package for your hood.

- (10) 7/16" Dzus Fasteners (.550 Length)
- (10) Springs
- (40) Rivets
Note: Hoods do not have to be exact as you can adjust spring slightly larger or smaller to accommodate.

I used this kit to install dzus fasteners on a 74 Nova. Being these rails were not designed for my car there was some minor modifications needed but it was far simpler than trying to install individual brackets. Powder coating on the rails was superb and the fasteners anodizing was perfect.

The rails are nice but on this 78 Monte Carlo the rear end is hard to get down in the trough and impossible to rivet let alone drill I. Ended up using button heads other than that they’re great I haven’t mounted the hood yet.

Kit is nice, wish the kit included means of attaching the front of the hood. Almost lost hood on first pass not having any. So have to purchase extra before I’m able to make passes with hood on.
