Setting TDC on an LS Engine
Posted at 11:00 • 24 March • Doug Cook
When Running aftermarket EFI systems it is always a wise idea to verify and offset timing in the event that the real TDC differs from what the EFI system deems. A few degrees of mis timing an engine can be giving away free horsepower, or very dangerous to your engine!
Regardless of what Engine you are running, whether it is an LS1 LSX style engine, a Mod Motor Ford or Coyote, a traditional SBC, BBC, Gen 3 Hemi and more. Verifying timing will save you headaches and unlock potential in your combo while adding a new level of confidence and understanding!
